TCM HealthCare has been active in developing research with a range of statutory agencies. We have just completed a pilot research programme as follows:-

Research – Acupuncture and depression, a randomised controlled trial

The research was conducted by a consortium which consisted of the following organisations:-

o University of London Medical school
o A Mental Health Trust in London
o TCM HealthCare

The aim was to investigate the effectiveness of acupuncture on mild to moderate depression in a primary care setting. We have written a paper based on the pilot study. It should be published in an academic journal shortly.

We have also worked up two more proposals with medical schools in London and in Cambridge. We hope to be able to secure funding to start work on them this year.
